James Vega's stepmother Patricia Welkson
Patricia was a street utrchin in Los Angeles.
She was four when her mother killed herself and since then she had been kicked out of one foster after another
due to her bad behavior.
When Patricia was fifteen, she became addicted to cocaine and heroin. She has been attacking and robbing people until at age seventeen,
she was arrested and taken in by police.
She was ordered to check into rehab.
That's where she met her fellow drug addict Joshua Sanders who was also told by the judge to join after he was wrongfuly
accused back in San Diego of murdering his teenage son James Sanders. (James faked his own death and left to become an Alliance
marine under the name James Vega)
Little did she know James is a year older then her and that Joshua had abused him since he was twelve.
The two fell in love.
Afterwards, they left rehab and got married, and had three children. Isabella, Joshua Sanders Jr, and Jamie.
Unfortunately, Joshua fakes his own death and abandons her and their children back on Earth.
Since then, Patricia struggled to make ends meet, but became drug addict again. Only this time becoming a
red sand addict.
Then, one day, Her three children disappeared without a trace, (They ran away to Omega) and she was accused
of murdering them all and sentenced to life in prison in prison.
But she escaped when the Reapers attacked Earth and stowed away to Omega without knowing that her children
were on Omega.
