Dr. Nelson Markell

Dr. Nelson Markell was a doctor and scientist working for the System Alliance until two years after the first contact war ended, that he cut all ties with the Alliance and joined a human-survivalist paramilitary group called Cerberus.

When Miranda Lawson joined Cerberus in the year 2166, Nelson was assigned by the Illusive Man to be her mentor.

During his years of working with Cerberus, Markell slowly begain having doubts about the Illusive Man's intention
about really serving humanity as he heard rumurs about humans along with aliens being tortured and used as test
subjects, including biotic children.

Nelson suffered injury when the Illusive Man's personal assassin, Kai Leng slashed the right side of his face
(Luckly his eye didn't get cut) just during an argument about Leng's murderous ways.
