Nian Tiya Wren, The older sister of Ursa Sharmila Wren, was on the rocky planet Scoindre along with her younger sister and a group of warriors of Clan Wren were scouting the planetsurface to investagate some suspicious activity regarding the Separatist led by a fallen Jedi known as Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus.
When they discovered the industrial area that was taken over by the CIS, their suspicions were confirmed and headed back to their ships to report their findings.
Unfortunately however, their presence did not go unnoticed. Dooku had hired a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Jango Fett to the droid army and hunt down the clan soldiers as they attempted their escape from the planet.
The ambush begain, the Wren Clan fought back against the Separatist droids and their leader Jango Fett, but many were gunned down mercilessly. Including Nian who was brutally shot multiple times by Jango himself.
Young Ursa watched in horror as her fellow Clan members in were slaughtered by the bounty hunter and the droid army.
She couldn't do anything to help her sister and clanmates as she was severely wounded from this bloody battle.
The young countess-to-be was one of the few survivors who escaped the Separatist attack that claimed the lives of other members of Clan Wren. While Nian was one of the casualties of the horrific ambush.
This terrible event has left Ursa with survivor guilt and a deep-seated grudge towards the man who led the army of droids to kill her sister and other clan members.
She vowed to take revenge on him.
After her sister's funeral, Ursa learned that Jango Fett is known to be the sworn enemy of the Mandalorian group known as the Death Watch.
She ran away to Mandalore to join them in order to avenge her sister and their fallen Clan mates.
She had trained with them for months but before she can finally avenge fallen members of Clan Wren, a Jedi named Mace Windu killed Jango the arena during the Battle of Geonosis.
Although she never actually met him, young Ursa felt resentment towards the Jedi for having deprived her the chance to get revenge on the Bounty Hunter who not only murdered her sister, but also helped slaughter most of her clan that very day on Scoindre.
